Chain Slings (Grade 80)

Chain Slings (Grade 80)

Description:

 With sling order you can choose:

  • standard hook with the latch (fig. 1);
  • self-latching hook (fig. 2);
  • shortening hook which can change sling's length of branches (fig. 3);

Chain slings have large number of advantages over rope slings:

- additional freedom that allows to use them practically anywhere.

- as well as textile slings chain slings are very safe in work. If loading capacity is over the MAX, deformation (stretching) of a chain up to 19 % coming first. It can be noticed by visual survey of the sling and withdraw it from usage.

- chain slings are much more durable than rope and besides it is possible to repair them.

- with correct maintainance  i.e. not to allow overloads, appropriate repair and replacement of worn-out details chain slings can serve very long time.

- slings have margin of safety 4:1.

- there is an additional possibility to add shortening hooks which allow to regulate length of the sling.

Notes:

 Load-lifting welded chains, durability class T(8) are made according to ISO 9001. Chain fittings and hooks with the safety lock and connecting links also on ISO 9001. All accessories are exposed to thermal processing at t = 400Co, alloyed steel on ISO 643.

Chain slings are intended for use without loading capacity reduction at temperatures from 40Co to 200Co. Loading capacity decreases at 201Co - 300Co for 10 %, and at 301Co - 400Co for 25 %. Over 400 Co it is not recommended to use chain slings. Can be used in the sour environment is.

- with length more than 2 meters, we recommend to install chain shortener that allows to regulate length of the branch.

- Two two-foot spiders can lift more than one four-foot with same chain

For example:

- diameter of a chain - 10 mm

 (4 250+4 250=8 500 kg) / (6 700 kg)
